Our boxes are designed and built specifically for commercial horse transport. Many horseboxes on the road aren’t held to the same rigorous standards that ours are. We only use the best possible horseboxes at DHT. You can read more about our horseboxes here.

We’re qualified to the highest standards, specifically in horse transport. We’re knowledgeable horse people with years of experience travelling and caring for horses all over Europe. We own our own horses too – so we know exactly how you feel when you trust us with your equines.
PEACE OF MIND IN OUR VEHICLES.
There aren’t any regulations that state LGVs used to travel horses need regular inspections, aside from annual MOTs. (And this doesn’t check the structural integrity of the horse area.) Our boxes have the same regular maintenance and inspections as HGVs, guaranteeing they’re structurally and mechanically sound.
IMPECCABLE BIO-SECURITY.
We clean and disinfect our boxes in between every job using DEFRA-approved products, and we never reuse hay or bedding. The health and welfare of your horse is always top of our agenda. And unless horses are relocating together, we travel all horses separately. This ensures complete bio-security at all times.
A PRIVATE VIP JOURNEY.
We don’t share loads, which protects your horse from infection risk – and from bad travel habits of other horses! This is also to make sure we operate within our weight restrictions.
